I think the only thing predictable is that weather patterns are likely to get increasingly unpredictable.

It did not quite break the record, but Monday was certainly sweltering with temperatures hitting 35.1 degrees Celsius.
The record was set on 25 May 1922 when temperatures reached 36.2 degrees Celsius. The previous second highest temperature was 32.8 degrees Celsius set on 28 May 2005.
