1981 fand in Taiwan mit dem Women's World Invitation Tournament eine erste Fußballweltmeisterschaft der Frauen statt. Der Deutsche Fußball-Bund, DFB, zeigte sich zurückhaltend. Eine Nationalmannschaft der Frauen hatte man erfolgreich verhindert. Und so kam die große Stunde für die Fußballerinnen aus Bergisch Gladbach. Der Triumph von Taiwan war für diese Männer eine schallende Ohrfeige. Der Film von John David Seidler erzählt die Geschichte der Weltmeisterinnen aus Bergisch Gladbach.
