The switch that people can see who looked up your record is quite interesting. I still get tax papers every year, so I suspect I will also be in this database. Should try if my ID is still valid.
How much do you earn, and how much do you pay in tax? If you think that's getting a bit too personal, spare a thought for the Norwegians. Because in Norway, the earnings, assets and taxes of every citizen is public knowledge, and searchable online to boot. It's all done in the name of transparency, but as Lars Bevanger now reports from Oslo, not everyone is happy with being snooped upon.
