Today the regular school day started again at my son's school with all pupils in class, full hours per day and school every day of the week. At least for the last two weeks before summer holidays. Just in the afternoon he had an accident playing in the garden and spending a night in hospital now.
My older daughter at another school still just visits the school once per week, half of the pupils per class and reduced hours per day.
Anyone remembering the shitstorm that a few pupil sometimes dropped a few hours on Fridays? Hilarious!

A very interesting article I think.
Another aspect I think which is quite striking is that just few decades ago for leaders like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pot, Suharto, etc. a life of a single person, or lives of thousand or even millions of people was not much worth and got deliberately killed. In the last decade it felt like more of these mindsets returned to power, but the conviction to consciously overreacting to save the lives of the most vulnerable seems to be dominating this time. What a huge development and progress.
